Welcome to Issue 2 of Too Groovy, a magazine built around the people, places and businesses that give Niagara its character.

This issue brings together three very different stories, but they share a common thread: each one is rooted in community, resilience and the idea that local stories are worth telling.

We begin with Bob Dick — “Style. Drive. Grit.” Bob has spent decades in the transportation industry, and his story is about much more than getting from one place to another. It is about personality, perseverance, professionalism and refusing to coast. Alongside Bob’s profile, we feature Coventry Transportation / Coventry Connections, highlighting executive travel, airport transfers, black-car service, group transportation and Niagara travel experiences.

Next, we visit The Brown Homestead in St. Catharines for “A House with a Thousand Stories.” This expanded heritage feature explores the John Brown House, Norton Cabin, conservation work, Indigenous and oral-history interpretation, hands-on heritage programming and the people helping keep the property relevant to a new generation. The issue also highlights Holidays@ the Homestead, guided tours by appointment and the organization’s ongoing community programming.

In Fort Erie, we meet Bill Marr of Garrison Automotive Service in “The Trust Under the Hood.” Bill’s story looks at what it takes to build trust in a local automotive business: putting safety first, treating customers like family, supporting employees and giving back to the community. The feature also showcases Garrison Automotive Service and its NAPA AUTOPRO affiliation.

Too Groovy is about celebrating the people who keep Niagara moving, the historic places that connect us to where we came from, and the local businesses that become part of the communities they serve.
